This blog on New Caledonia is for those of you who ever wondered what life on a tiny island in the South Pacific might be like. Tired of bracing winter winds, the stress of an inner city or simply dreaming of a life change? This is a blog about what happens when, in the words of Yogi Berra, "you come to a fork in the road, [and] take it".

Enjoying New Caledonia's Winter

Cooler days during New Caledonia's winter (July and August) mean dips below 20 degrees (at night). During the day, however, temperatures can cascade back up as far as 22-26. This last weekend the sun enticed us out for a long walk along the bays (with visiting dad and stepsister, Livia). And nothing, but nothing, stopped Pablo from going for a dip of his own - and a taste or two of the ocean.

I'm more than pleased to say I've included you in the newest installment of Surfer's Paradise. Somehow, this seems to be especially fitting with the wind and kite surfing you have there.

Truly, going from one page of older posts to another, it's nothing but great stuff!

The shots of the little one are priceless. I wish you many, many years of good health and happiness.

One of my favorite pictures I must say is the cat on the keyboard and the pictures from the "mountain" are spectacular.

I normally don't ask when I do these lists, but if you're interested in a link exchange I'd be happy to do so.

I have a few referrals I can pass along as well if you're interested in such things.

In any case, I hope this link serves you well.

Wow - high praise indeed, Anthony! I am honoured to be included on your Surfer's Paradise. I have no idea how in the world I would merit such a recommendation, but I thank you for it.

Loyal readers: go check out Anthony's blog at: http://thelivesandtimes.blogspot.com/ I am just browsing it now and it is full of fun stuff.

All the best,

Julie
